Ein ganz liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus. Die Küche ist außergewöhnlich ausgestattet. Ein schön angelegter Garten mit sehr gepflegten Pool.

We loved the house, garden and complete kitchen.

The greatest asset of this house is undoubtedly the spectacular views – they are literally breathtaking. The location is excellent and makes a perfect base for exploring Tuscany. During our stay, we visited Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, and Volterra, and also spent two days on the beach near Marina di Pisa.
The house is equipped with everything you could need for a vacation. Spacious and comfortable, it offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room with an open-plan kitchen, and a terrace. Guests also have access to a small but charming garden with a swimming pool and barbecue area.
This is an ideal place for both families with older children and groups of friends.
The surrounding area, especially Castelvecchio di Compito, is incredibly picturesque and full of charm. An additional advantage is the very friendly and welcoming neighbors, who made our stay even more enjoyable.
A big plus is also the friendly owners, who take great care of the house and the comfort of their guests!
If I were to point out any minor drawbacks, the first is the house's three-story layout, which requires frequent stairs. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's worth keeping in mind.

The second minor inconvenience is the lack of direct access from the house to the garden and pool area. To get there, you have to exit through the main entrance and pass through an additional gate. This doesn't significantly impact the comfort of your stay, but it would be even more convenient if the garden were accessible directly from the house.

Wir haben uns im Casa Max sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Haus selber und in der Küche ist alles notwendige und mehr vorhanden.
Wir haben jeden Abend den tollen Ausblick und den Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse genossen.
Die Schlüsselübergabe mit dem Vermieter, sowohl bei der Ankunft und auch bei der Abreise war völlig unkompliziert. Sie fand per WhatsApp statt. Zudem ist der Vermieter sehr nett. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und können mit gutem Gewissen die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

We had a lovely week staying at Casa Max. The house was wonderfully peaceful, and perfectly located for everything we wanted to do. Massimo, the owner was so helpful and communicative. We arrived later than planned and he very kindly waited for us to arrive to give us the keys. We loved the outdoor terrace and swimming pool, and the views were just beautiful. The house is obviously very well taken care of and has everything you might need. Thank you Massimo for a great week in your lovely home. We very much hope to return one day!

Although we didn't have a car (as recommended), we still had the most magical time up in the mountains. Massimo, Michela and Diletta were very kind and gracious hosts, helping us out massively. The 6 of us enjoyed sunny days by the pool, drinking wine and laughing. I hope one day I can come back to this lovely town, maybe drink coffee from Annalisa at Castello Bar once more!

We arrived in very bad weather, heavy rains and a lot of wind. The owner, his wife and a woman who spoke English were there. We were welcomed with cookies and pantelleria liquor! Fortunately, the weather got better and we enjoyed the 20°C the next days. We went to Lucca to cycle on the mura, to Firenze to climb the campanile, to Villa Reale, to Cinque Terre, to Pisa and we enjoyed walks in the neighbourhood. Such beautiful plants and flowers. All the acacia trees in blossom! We saw a "hop" and a blue "rotslijster": these birds were never seen by us before. And the beautiful views from the village on top of the hill! We enjoyed the warm atmosphere of this casa. It is clean and everything you need is there! Thank you for having us here, we hope the casa may welcome lots and lots more happy guests!

Thank you so much for welcoming us so nicely, your house is beautiful and we felt really safe in here! We visited: Lucca, Pisa, Florencia, Viareggio, 1 of the 5 Terre (Monterosso), Livorno. We couldn't see everything, so we hope that we could come back here longer next time!

We've seen: Pisa, including Marina di Pisa (wonderful clean beach with white stones), Firenze, Lucca (twice, we had a tourwith a guide at night whichwas very interesting), Siena, San Gimignano, Cinque Terre (walked from Monterosso to Vernazza which was quite exhausting on a very hot day). On the hottest day we went shopping to "I Gigli". We liked the church which was open. Last but not least: the pool was greatand made our kids happy, especially the youngest. What a beautiful and comfortably furnished house! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The cookies and the wine were delicious. During our stay, we visited Lucca twice and enjoyed exploring its charming streets. We spent a wonderful day at Marina di Pisa, seating by the sea and swimming in the water. Of course no trip would be complete without a visit to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which was as impressive as we imagined. A day trip to San Gimignano was also on our itinerary, and did not disappoint. The medieval towers and picturesque views were simply breathtaking and added a special touch to our Tuscan adventure. We also took the time to stroll through the neighbourhood, which offered great views and was worth the walk. The pool was a highlight for us, providing a perfect way to cool off after a long day. Thank you for providing such a lovely retreat. We had an unforgettable stay!

We have been here in Casa Max for a week with the whole family including one baby child. The house was comfortable for everyone including the little boy (1 year old). He could crawl every minute in the house and around the pool. In this week we had beautiful weather, so the airconditioning did its job in the evening. We have no comments on the house and all the facilities in it. Everything was well done and complete for us. We have done nice things in the neighboorhood. The week was past before we knew it, too short. Maybe when we are in the area, we'll come back!

Wir waren eine Woche in Casa Max und können nur schwärmen. Der Aufenthalt in der Wohnung war super. Es war alles liebevoll hergerichtet und man hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt. Hatte man eine Rückfrage, so bekam man diese umgehend von Emilio beantwortet. Hier waren wir in keinem Fall das letzte Mal :)

Wunderschönes gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Die Inhaber sind sehr herzlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage ist ideal, man erreicht viele sehenswerte Orte. Tolle Strände haben wir in 1h erreicht. Wir waren mit Kleinkind da und waren sehr willkommen.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casa Max. It is a very carefully and tastefully renovated, old, typical Tuscan house and had absolutely everything that we needed. The small mountain village is perfect for a vacation a bit aside of the tourist masses in Lucca, but still near enough for spending time in Lucca or one of the beaches. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Definitely a five star rating !

The stay at Casa Max has been gorgeous. A perfect location to explore northern Tuscany and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. We recommend exploring the village and walking up the hill through the lanes. The bar at the bottom of the road is friendly and the pizzeria Shalomi is excellent. Best restaurant is La Conca, about 15 minutes away!

Many thanks for letting us stay in your nice and cozy house. Well equipped and with a beautiful view. We had a nice BBQ and did some amazing trips to the sorrounding villages and cities.We loved Siena and of course the famous tower of Pisa.

"Casa Max" ist nicht ganz zutreffend als Name: "Palazzo Max" wäre passender. Der Empfang durch Maximo und seine Frau, die Herzlichkeit, die sehr leckern Wilkommenskekse und die zweitägige Anfahrt sofort vergessen. Wir lebten hier wie die Adeligen, leider nur eine Woche! Das Haus, die Aussicht, die Grillen, der Garten, der Pool, das Ital. Essen: aAlles perfekt! Die Medicis waren nicht besser untergebracht!

"Casa Max" non è del tutto vero come nome: "Palazzo Max" sarebbe più adatto. L'accoglienza di Maximo e sua moglie, la cordialità, i biscotti di benvenuto molto gustosi , dimentichiamo subito il viaggio di due giorni. Vivevamo qui come nobili, purtroppo solo una settimana! La casa, la vista, i grilli, il giardino, la piscina, il cibo italiano: tutto perfetto! Le Madicis non sono state meglio accolte! Spero che Iberico non ha speso nessuna sciocchezza.

Casa Max is a beautiful home with everything you wish for inside.All this in a wonderful environment.
The house offers enough room for 6 people, all comfort is included like towels, linen and a warm welcome by the owners.The thing we loved most was the amazing vew from the balcony of Casa Max.
