Make the most of city life!
The small historic centre of Lucca, enclosed within its splendid medieval walls, has a quite unique charm that you’ll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
Guests are sure to enjoy strolling along the tree-lined ramparts opposite the apartment, which offer a privileged vantage point from which to explore the city; indeed, from a height of 12 metres, you can admire unique views of the main monuments, bell towers, Palazzo Pfanner with its garden, the unmistakable Guinigi Tower with its holm oaks at the top, and the Botanical Gardens.
The heart of the historic centre is also well worth a visit: Lucca is, in fact, a city of art, rich in ancient palaces, numerous churches, squares and charming views. Definitely worth seeing are Piazza San Michele, Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, the Cathedral of San Martino, the Guinigi Tower and Via Fillungo, the city’s main shopping street. Among its characteristic narrow streets, you’ll discover old workshops, quaint shops, traditional trattorias and excellent restaurants.

The many events that take place around the city make it an ideal destination at any time of year.
Set against the unique backdrop of the city walls, Murabilia takes place in September and Verdemura in April – gardening fairs featuring flowers and plants of all kinds.
Other events certainly worth noting include: ‘Lucca Comics and Games’ for comic book enthusiasts, the opera season in October and November, concerts of religious and classical music in the city’s churches from April to June, ‘Settembre Lucchese’ with its numerous cultural and folk events, the Summer Festival in July, as well as the many open-air markets and the major antiques market held every third weekend of the month in the streets and squares of the historic centre.
From Lucca, you can take day trips to visit Tuscany’s most important cities of art, such as Florence, Pisa and Siena, or charming medieval villages nestled in the countryside, such as Montecarlo; head to the seaside along the Versilia coast or towards Livorno, Castiglioncello and the Cinque Terre; or organise a cycle ride or a walk along the ‘Ville Lucchesi’ trail, which takes in the villas located within a 6 km radius of the city.

The Adele apartment is situated on the ground floor and comprises: an entrance hall, a living/dining room with large windows overlooking the walls and the greenery, which make the room very bright; 1 double sofa bed, tv, a non-functioning fireplace, a dining table, a modern kitchen with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, a utility room with a washing machine, washbasin, drying rack, ironing board and iron, a larder, access to a small outdoor area of approximately 7 square metres furnished with a small table and two chairs, and a parking space on the property.
