You can certainly reach the beautiful old town of Lucca on foot, whilst conveniently leaving your car in the property’s car park. It’s a town well worth exploring, with its shops, traditional workshops, 100 churches, beautiful squares, magnificent Renaissance city walls and bustling streets, where the aroma of fine cuisine fills the air and the romantic arias of Puccini can be heard. For day trips, you can visit the nearby art cities of Florence and Pisa (there are convenient and frequent connections to both) or head to the Versilia coast, to Livorno, Castiglioncello and the Cinque Terre.
La Terrazza sul Fiume is simply the ideal place to stay to enjoy this corner of Tuscany – very comfortable inside and extremely well situated.

The apartment is situated on the second floor of a residential building on the outskirts of Lucca, just 1.2 km from the city walls, and comprises: a spacious living/dining room with 1 double sofa bed, a dining table and access to the terrace; a separate kitchen with a hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and a utility room with a washing machine.
The sleeping area comprises 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and two windows overlooking the river and the terrace, and 1 bathroom with a shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
The apartment is lovingly furnished, features air conditioning (in the living area and bedroom), fly screens on the windows and a parking space at the rear of the building.
The large, 45 m² terrace is furnished with a table, chairs and sun loungers, offers a view of the River Serchio and provides guests with a special view of the town – ideal for breakfast or a romantic candlelit dinner.
