The small historical centre, surrounded by its beautiful walls, has a special charm which you will hardly find elsewhere.
Guests can enjoy a walk on the tree-lined walls, which are located just a few steps away from the apartment, which offer a privileged viewpoint of the city. From their 12m height guests can admire unique glimpses of the main monuments, belltowers, Palazzo Pfanner with its garden, Torre Guinigi with its holm oaks on top and the Botanical Gardens.
The historical centre is also worth a visit: Lucca is a beautiful art city, rich of beautiful churches, palazzi, squares and stunning sights. Piazza San Michele, Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, San Martino Cathedral, Guinigi Tower and the shopping lane Via Fillungo are not to be missed. You can also discover old workshops, trattorias and excellent restaurants in its picturesque alleys.
The many events that revolve around the city make it an ideal destination all year round.
It is precisely in the unique setting of the walls that Murabilia is held in September and Verdemura in April, both gardening exhibition markets with flowers and plants of all kinds.
Other events worth noting are: “Lucca Comics and Games” for comic books enthusiasts, the lyric season in October and November, the religious and classic music concerts held in the city churches between April and June, the “Settembre Lucchese” with many cultural and folklore events, the Summer Festival in July and the market of antiques which takes place every 3rd weekend of a month in the alleys and squares of the city.
From Lucca you can make one-day trips to the most important art cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Pisa and Siena, visit picturesque medieval towns nestled in the countryside like Montecarlo, go to the seaside in Versilia or to Livorno, Castiglioncello and le Cinque Terre or organize bike trips or treks, following the tour of the Ville Lucchesi, which are located about 6 km from the city.

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor: spacious living room with dining table, sofa, armchair, kitchenette with stove/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 2 big French windows with access to the terrace, which overlooks an internal garden and provides a breathtaking look over the roofs of the city, 1 bathroom with toilet, bidet, basin, shower and washing machine, 2 double bedrooms equipped with fans. Wooden spiral staircase leads to the spacious attic with two pouffes and two single armchair beds, smart working station (screen, keyboard and mouse). The owner has left also some board games at customers' disposal. Thanks to the two large windows on the roof, the room is very bright and cosy. The owner has provided guests with four mats for practising yoga indoors or on the beautiful walls of Lucca, just a few steps away from the flat.
The flat is also easily reachable by bus from Lucca station.
The flat is tastefully furnished in a modern style with terrazzo flooring and beamed ceilings in the attic.

Veldig fin leilighet. Hadde alt man trenger. Koselig solrik balkong. Deilig med ekstra tumleplass på loftet. Noe spesielt ungene satte pris på. Fin plassering, kort vei til parkeringsplassen, kort vei til muren og ikke minst fint nydelig med gåavstand til alt inennfor murene. Tips: Når tunnelen under muren er åpen har du en nydelig snarvei til butikken på utsiden. Det er strekt ut en hdmi kabel som hjør det enkelt å koble seg på TVen. Er du like avhengig av kaffe som oss ta med deg noen dolce gusto kapsler. Dette var et bra sted og vi kommer gjerne igjen.
A really lovely apartment. It had everything you need. A cosy, sunny balcony. It was lovely to have extra space to run about in the loft – something the kids particularly appreciated. Great location, a short walk to the car park, a short walk to the city walls and, last but not least, it’s absolutely lovely to be within walking distance of everything inside the walls. Tip: When the tunnel under the city walls is open, you have a lovely shortcut to the shop on the other side. An HDMI cable has been laid out, making it easy to connect to the TV. If you’re as addicted to coffee as we are, bring some Dolce Gusto capsules with you. This was a great place and we’d love to come back.

Die Wohnung liegt im inneren Zirkel der Altstadt, das ist total schön, denn man kann tagsüber während der Hitze ausruhen (Klimaanlage) und vormittags und abends die Altstadt von Lucca erkunden. Der Balkon ist sehr charmant zum Hinterhof gelegen, man kann dort Blick auf die Rückseiten und Dächer der Häuser schön sitzen. Die Wohnung ist großzügig, gut ausgestattet, auch der Dachboden ist wunderbar vor allem für Kinder und Jugendliche, man braucht allerdings dort bei großer Hitze die Klimaanlage. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen in der Wohnung, vielen Dank.
